Just one comment: Mike, you are responsible for the riders.
They go out no matter what...and don't see that it might be too shallow or too little space downwind...they get hot in competition and forget safety. You should never.
I am sure you had gear failures and big crashes too...so please be aware of that and choose the locations accordingly.
