That's moving ! but I'd say he was overpowered and thus lost speed. You see him quickly curling downwind. Should have used a 7m to achieve over 50knts

I like the camera angle looking down at the board, water and kite at full speed. The water is going by so fast. I keep thinking how bad it would hurt to fall.

I wanted to see him rip a jump at the end of one of those runs, despite rather hard to land that board

The curl down wind was accelerating to get to top speed not loosing speed

You can see him lose his edge on a few of those runs. But that was still seriously fast.

Yeah I understand. You will momentarily gain extra speed towards the end of your run on a broad reach, but on this occasion it was held far too briefly because he was overpowered and as a consequence his kite continued to fall back through the window pointing him ever further downwind, at the cost of a potentially higher speed. A smaller kite would have prolonged the broad reach point of sail a little longer.

I'm not claiming to be an expert ( I've never been on water! ), but if such people are to be found then this is surely the place, as opposed to somewhere like YouTube. :D

He wasn't doing long runs, load up bear away get the peak and stop
Not sure where he lost his edge either? Apart from at the end of a short run when slowing down

I watched all of it in person and he didn’t fall on a single run, neither of them did
