strange...I didn't see any jump from Aaron that would have outperformed the Front 720 Megaloop Boardoff Board Spin from Janek...

Great respect to the guys doing the board-off kiteloops and all, but it seems like that's all there is these days.

I remember all the negative comments a few years ago about how the pro's doing handle passes during KOTA was getting boring and was just a way of wake style being pushed by 'the industry' and forcing it's way into Airstyle/Big Air and the judges were influenced to grade those tricks higher than others.

Without discounting the skill involved, and personally I am a big fan of mega looping, but this is just as boring to watch as before and it appears that the entire field is handed a sheet of 5 possible allowed jumps variations and away they all go. The visual is nice the first few times and than the repetition sets in.

Seems to me like the 'extreme' factor is starting to shift away from the force of the kiteloop and gravitating towards doing a (board) trick. I much prefer the commitment and power displayed during an old Len10 Storm Chase video over most big air kite competition loops.

Yeah the cameramen missed Aaron's Boogie board off late front at the end of the heat. Apparently it was pretty massive. I can't comment as I never saw it. But Janek is undoubtedly the king. Unfortunately for him, competitions sometimes go this way. He's done well to take it in his stride!
