He's riding a 2017 Slingshot refraction. Not a bad board but .... why not newer? Now I know they had to make allowances for a board that kind of works on a cable as well, but, its odd that a supposedly good cable wakeboarder would have a board like that. Surely there must be a better cross over board - maybe a Tona Pop?

I guess surfing has had its share of bad movies. Hopefully the direct to DVD/Digital aspect is an indication that even the studio thinks it is crap. Like others have said, we do not really need a mass of newcomers with grand delusions from this film. Not all at once at least.

Just wonder if it will cause a run into kiteboarding by pimpled prepubertals with the dream of big kites, big cars and big tits in their glossy eyes.

But the disney land background and the context of commercialising the sport via olympia fits pretty good in the overall picture.
