Nice. I am 10 minutes drive from the beach from home and 1 hour from work. So week day kiting is a no go.
I am shifting to a job that is a 4 day week. So that will give me 3 days a week with the possibility to kite.

800 ft distance to sandy beach waves

Drive there usually with 2 surfboards 4 kites

90 % of time

5 % when offshore winds drive 15 min

5 % when waves too big & wind too onshore drive up the coast 15 min

So far 52 days of riding

Worse place I lived (for kiting) was NYC, but still managed to get out whenever possible.
For the rest always lived close to the water between 1-15 minutes from the closest launch.

Now I live on a small Caribbean island (again) so not only is the launch close by, I'm also enjoying riding on the turquoise waters rather than foamy chocolate milk haha

4 day week sounds excellent. I am lucky, I have a flexible schedule, so if I want to kite in the afternoon and work in the evening I can!

We have the distance to the beach nailed down, unfortunately the wind here in Uruguay is not as regular as I would like!

Having said that, I've probably managed 20+ sessions this year, so I can't complain too much!!

I now have 100% pure kite envy. I dream of living on an island with crystal clear waters and the ability to kite in any wind direction!!
