Kiteboarder encountered whale shark

I got twice lucky that day: While foiling I encountered a majestic sea creature, what appeared to be a whale shark.
The second part of my luck was that the shark was not hungry.
Shot on the coast of Baja California Sur, Mexico on Sea of Corte

Well, unless the whale shark mistakes you for a gigantic piece of plankton, you should be totally safe. As far as shark encounters go, that's the one to have, IMO. Lucky you!

Went snorkeling with whale sharks once myself. That was surprisingly fun. Then again I get excited if I see a cat in the streets...

Not his wildest wildest dream. Dang, I wonder what that might be? Great vid. All the tech , 360 camera, kitesurfing, foil and some luck came together to make this possible.
