Invoking some good memories of when I lived in SF..that 75 minutes was well worth the drive.

I'm going off on a tangent here, but thought I'd ask...
I don't live in the Bay Area, but we do get out there in the summer and kite at Sherman a few days each trip. Our daughter and son-in-law are now beginner kiters and Sherman will be their go to place as they get more proficient. I was wondering what is the season for Sherman? What time of the year does it start blowing there? My only experience as a tourist is in July/August...
