Thanks for taking the tm eto explain, very clear. the loop should bbe very strong and your knot bblocks it ( no stitches )
You forgot to mention the instrumental role of the cat assistant in the background.
I have a slightly different way, 2-3mm dyneema, spliced loop on one end and "noeud de sifflet de bosco" at the other ( as for a soft shackle )
