Jump height, settling a bet

Hi!

Lurker here, first post...

I'm trying to settle a bet with a friend of mine (I'm risking 10$...), I told him I would jump 10m while on a kitesurfing trip. Unfortunately, no way for me to really measure the height. I feel like I got pretty close but not quite there yet. On this video, we can see other kites, but the horizon is distorted because of the fish eye effect.

MATH:
Assuming kite lines are 24m in general, the end of the lines connecting to a kite sitting at a 45° angle would be 16.97m high. (a^2+b^2=24^2) and in this case a=b = 16.97m.

The kites are a bit lower, let's assume a 30° angle, which gives us a 12m height. (x=24*sin(30°),x) --> x = 12

So did I get past the 10m? Is it too close to tell?

Hard to say…but not sure if you do a 10m jump with you only fly 4 seconds…

How much wind did you have, which kite size, and what’s your weight ?

More like 8 by the looks of it. Also, not a lot of hangtime, so 10 is unlikely...

No idea bout the hight. But you can use Use surfr. App on your phone (in a waterproof pouch) for height measuring.

What I've found is:
knots / 2 = height (+/- 1m)
height / 2 = hang time (+/- 1 second, add up to a couple of seconds for a good heli loop... I'm not very good at them )
