I don’t think having the kites blank made any difference tho. He knew anyway.
The main thing if you want honesty is non-sponsor non-business rider/s with unedited comments from them. Maybe do it with normal production kites and make it blind somehow just for the riders? I suggest holding the test on a pitch black night haha
That was really well done. I heard about the planning in the podcasts and stoked they managed to pull it off. The way he described the enduro with it beeing too much effort reminded me instantly of exactly what I was feeling with the dice, awesome in prime conditions and otherwise just a pain. Maybe adrian can answer about how they connected the kite since that's what lots of people seem to have issues with.

Laugh, that would make some quality video footage
"I think someone is coming into the beach? Nope, just a gust."
"AHHHH"
"Sounds like our tester has hit something..."
This test was fantastic. Side by side comparison same conditions same day same rider that they are blank is definitely a bonus. Can't be more happy about this test and I ride enduros which came in last place. Just great content.
I also think this was great. They can always repeat the test with other naïve riders to gather more feedback. Also agree that it was tough on Zoon since he was “restricted” to assess for FREERIDE as he sees it.
Just wonder how they got from brands blank kites without any brand signs? Have doubts if brands produce it specially for such test. Can someone explain my how they got it?
The brands make these special versions during the design phase so they can test them in public without people knowing about upcoming products.
Probably also easier/cheaper to make something without branding and just one fabric color.
I guess the only real effort was made for masking that gold aluula fabric.
While I understand the elimination thing from an episodic entertainment perspective, eliminating a kite before you have a foiling day or a high-wind day feels like the wrong choice. Not saying that the Enduro that he eliminated would’ve faired better, but you kind of have to assess each kite and all conditions to make the call.
