I am missing the huge pull, stalled kite and height of the early megaloops.
These double, s-loops and maybe triple loops in the future are more technical, but it is taking away from the spectacular part of the massive jumps that are possible in the same conditions on bigger kites as they now pick a few sizes down and faster turning kites to do double loops.
Don't know if this is the right direction, but that's just my opinion.

It was seriously windy on Friday at Dolphin Beach, I was MAXED on an 8m.
Lost count of the number of double and s loops that were being done, and none of them were 'small' the guys were powered on 6s and plenty of 4m kites being used by the wave riders.

20 knots?
kidding.
never saw a double live...barely gets 30 knots in Cumbuco. But fine for me, I prefer 20-25. Saves me from hospital.
and wind is weaker this year then normally.
When do strong winds start in CT? just recently or already earlier?

Friday was stronger than any wind they have run KOTA in, just for reference.
Wind season kicked two weeks ago.
Looks like this evenings session at Kite beach will be stronger than Friday.
I've had 5 sessions since Friday and feel completely broken. I took the easy route today with a post breakfast 13m session at Muizenberg.
Only day not kiteable this coming week looks like Tuesday.
Cheers
DK

I live south side (Muizenberg) and tend to drive around to mix it up a bit.
Muizenberg (onshore, lighter wind)
Dolphin Beach
Kitebeach
Big Bay
Witsands
Macassar
Sunset to Doodles downwinders are also very FUN.
Enjoy your trip.
Cheers
