in spite of a hype job and incessant pumping of a product not even released....i'm trying to help you guys.
(see my post above)
its hard waiting for folks to actually buy the product and post honest reviews..... why take a chance organically growing your raving fans by making kick ass products.

much better to sell out inventory before its actually released, amirite or amirite?

Do are these wingers just black ball beaters for kites?

Maybe a chance to woo the few surviving windsurfers?

Will it startle the piping plovers?

Maybe it would be easier on the arms if the tubes were filled with helium?

And it's just the beginning - Intel processor that self-stabilize the wing:

Informative video, thanks Scott. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. Must be at least 10 companies now chasing the rainbow. 1 strut, 2 strut, leading edge strut, adding a boom, etc. I wasn't a windsurfer in the 80s, but I get the feeling this is how it went....many small players all fiddling around with options to figure out what works best and what will sell, the best products and companies will rise to the top. Or maybe the same with kites in late 2000s, where all that competition eventually led to a pretty standard SLE kite and standard 4 line bar. Every company is slightly different, but overall much the same.

All the companies making them seem to be reporting sold out of initial runs before even available, waiting lists, etc. Maybe just more hype, but does seem people are interested. The early adopters will no doubt end up buying a few dogs, much like when windsurf and kiting began their evolution. I am looking forward to trying my friend's Naish, on order.

We were just talking about all that—- and the thing is that kiting was truly NEW in 2000 to 2005 when brands got in and out etc.
Difference is that these wings have been tested for years. Not really brand new. And unlike kitings infancy, these new wing riders wont be guinea pigs.

But for sure there will be changes made with a fleet for 4000 new wings flying around.

Its actually not hype. They really are sold out.
SPG’s sail loft in cape town is humming 24/7. They got 10 to 20 times the expected orders.
Im stoked.
20 years of kiting i needed a fresh challenge.
But i personally will not ditch my strapless surfboard in the waves. ....ever.
