I don't like to have my board leash connected to my leg. I found this kayak rescue belt comfortable to Wing with.
Velcro leash to back of belt and it can slide from side to side.
Easier to keep coiled leash away from my legs.
It has an emergency release on the front.

Irwe can you recommend a leash length for a setup like this?

The belt length is adjustable (one size fits most). The coiled leash length when stretched should be slightly longer then your Wingboard so you can easily pass the board under leash if in the water and need to rotate the board.
