As a kitefoiler, I know how quickly a foiled board will scream down wind. A leashless nightmare scenario is a 5knot wind, board ripping away from you and no way to use the wing to get to it. For that reason I will always use a board leash and wing leash. I'm currently using a straight surfboard leash to the ankle, and I noticed that I spent a bit of time in the first two sessions untangling from mast etc. So I think I'm going to waist belt and coiled board leash off the back. Are there any recommendations for a good setup which works well for winging (Good proper waist belt with quick release and proper length coiled leash?) A lot of the stuff I've seen seems like it's designed for kayaking or river SUP . I remember that my old coiled lease to shin for SUP had a tendency to tangle up on itself which I'd like to avoid, maybe it was too long for what is needed for winging.

I use this one, where I can also clip a wing leash to the front :thumb:
