What i do not understand is the half baked release operation they are doing.
Almost no data, no pics ,no vids, just some 3d images...come on OR,wake up!.
I would not hold your breath hoping Duotone to have a better pricing model: the SLS “light kite” they sell is just as heavy as any competitors kite and they ask a premium for it.
I would say that the kites are a superior product comparing to the Dacron counterparts for sure.
Exactly.Nobody is going to offer a student priced Aluula wing anytime soon.leeuwen wrote: ↑Sun Mar 14, 2021 6:33 amI would not hold your breath hoping Duotone to have a better pricing model: the SLS “light kite” they sell is just as heavy as any competitors kite and they ask a premium for it.
(Sure it’s lighter then their own kites but those were just very heavy)
Also Duotone base price for regular kites is one of the highest in the market last time I compared prices (only Ozone being more expensive)
Which is irrelevant to how the wing performs in low end and downwind glide.
For a kite which is flying in the air I agree.nixmatters wrote: ↑Sun Mar 14, 2021 1:16 pmWhich is irrelevant to how the wing performs in low end and downwind glide.
Aluula wings are not 200g lighter. They are 40% or 20% lighter depending on model. For a 3kg Dacron reference wing this is 1.2kg or .6 kg saving.
