Most excellent. Wing-surfing in its purest form.

I'm not sure if getting towed in by a jetski holding a wing is the purest form...

Exactly! And I find it a bit disingenuous that the editing purposefully omits to show the few seconds before each take off on the waves. It'd still be an interesting thing to see, at least once. But doing so would reveal the inconvenient truth that the wing, unlike a windsurf sail or a kite, doesn't replace the jetski to tow yourself into a wave.

Still pretty impressive. I imagine they need a little bitty tiny front foil wing for a wave that fast and steep.

Do you know that he was towed onto the waves? I don't see that anywhere - it could be edited out, but just because there is a jet ski picking him after after his run doesn't necessarily mean he was towed onto the wave. It could be that the problem is he's using such a small (tow) board that it doesn't have enough flotation to allow him to pump onto the wave ... while a bigger board would be unmanageable once on the wave.

Does this seem like a better bet than windsurfing Jaws? I don't see it. Just Kai experimenting with the possibilities.
