Any thoughts on this wing project?

Surfing / foiling with a wing is of course fascinating and it is very clear to me to design my own wing for myself, but I will only put it into serial production if it corresponds to my own ideas. Above all this includes the use of completely different materials from those which are currently used at Wings. That's why I see this as a project for the time being. More info soon...

I could imagine a wing gets way less stress on it then a kite during regular usage.
The size it needs to support are smaller and forces are probably lower since you won't be boosting 20+ meters on them.
Would not be surprised this opens op possibilities for other materials.

Material also needs to stand up in freezing temperatures for WingSnowSkiing (very popular in my area). Alot of companies Windows have cracked and teared in this enviroment.

For some people they do, but this is an outlier use case. I have windsurf sails with x-ply just like the wing in the above pictures, they have lasted decades in some cases and I have never taken them out in sub-zero temperatures. I don't need a sub-zero edge case to dictate to dictate what will work for me in warmer temperatures.

If you lived in my region you wouldn't call WingSnowskiing (growing exponentially) an "outlier{. I also Snowfer (Windsurf on snow) and have the original KiteWing (with Windows). Neither the Windsurf sails or the KiteWing windows have had any issues being used in sub-zero conditions. Therefore, there are materials that can be used with satisfactory results. Wing manufacutres need to be aware of this or put out a disclaimer that their Wings are not designed for sub-zero use.
