Tip 1...umm, seriously? Just attach the velcro so it doesn't come off. :lol:
I would never attach my wing to a board sitting up like that, seems very likely to pull the board over and maybe tear the wing. Same with leaving board on its side if you have very wide high aspect foil....I've found the wind can easily pull it up and over. Tear wing / dent van. Doh.

Tip 3: spare pump is a good idea, no pump = no fun. But even more important, is to have a spare pump adapter for the wing you use. You can probably borrow someone's pump, but does you no good unless you have the connector. Keep the spare in your wing bag so you always have it with you, may save a session one day!
