The shortages may be bigger that just Teijin itself.
I have seen on the news that toy makers and any industry that uses plastics are having trouble getting the raw materials due to COVID,nylon,abs,pvc you name it.
It is more expensive and harder to source they said.
Back to Aluula, the canopy is made of standard ripstop,though they claimed they had an Aluula based substitute in the works.
Maybe buying a way pricier wing will be a better investment if it maintains performance&handling&resale value.
We'll see.

It will be seen how it goes. Now in many areas there is underproduction, which is why prices are rising. I don't even know how soon the situation will level out.
