Body drag upwind with wing

Postby Jyoder » Fri Jul 30, 2021 3:31 pm

With a 2-3m line attached to front and back handle you can fly the wing like a kite, and while it’s very difficult, you can body drag a sinker board like a kitefoil board to get to deep water, even at a slight upwind angle. More experimenting and practice needed but it’s promising, as the main drawback for me to use a small board is getting past the shallows to allow for depth for sinker start.

How do you find flying the wing? Or do you go back to the handles once you are at a good depth?
