Wing jumps will never amaze spectators the way kite jumps doIMG_0285.jpeg
Besides the fact that who cares about spectators, Wingfoiling should not be compared to kiteflying as the technique is completely different, more like windsurfing.
For those in the know-how, the difference between landing a simple back loop with a kite versus with a Wing is huge.

Hmmm, not really. I was a windsurfer and was always jealous of the kiters because I realized kites had significant advantages. Winging is a major downgrade from kiting IMO....

For me it's about being on foil so I do both, but mainly kite foil freestyle as the wind isn't usually over 15 knots steady, and below that at 95-100 kg winging isn't much fun to be honest, have to use a big heavy floaty board and you loose the "attachment to the foil" feeling.
They (kite and wing) foil compliment each other quite nicely, when it's windier I wing and lighter I kite foil free style and can jump crazy high > 10m in less than 15 knots of wind and I can land softly on foil.
I doubt a 6m wing can boost me high on a wing at all and haven't even tried as I am sure I'd come down hard as my 9m foil kite doesn't hold me up there for long! I leave the jumping to kiting.
Winging opens up a lot more spots too where kiting is prohibited.
