So the title says pretty much it all, ie. although they are very different in shape, what's the real difference between the two in terms of gliding and pumping ability, and also turning, please? And how about the windrange and water state, when would you use which one?
Much appreciated!

I don’t think there’s much overlap. 945 is positioned as “flies bigger than its size” and 1000 is much smaller wing for a different fuselage. What are you trying to do with it?

Thanks, I have both fuselages so no problem there. However, I was wondering how they would compare to each other, although they are on paper very different, but for turning wise and gliding and pumping mostly interested.

I think the closest to 1000 would be the 940. The 945 is larger wing.

You need to watch Gunnar’s YouTube reviews. He does a great job explaining both wings. And yes, very different!

Thanks guys, I have watched Gunnar’s reviews, but no comparison between the two. Yes, the w1000 is smaller in size, but it’s faster and pumps well, and it seems that you are able to turn it well too in waves, so it seems to be much more than pure race wing. Hence the question about which pumps better and the turning capabilities, and in what kind of water conditions they work better?

I rode 1000 for one session with a kite. It glides great, has ultimate roll stability, yet that makes it harder to turn on. It pumped really well and I felt I’m riding tiny 2 feet swell.
I think it would work great for probe foilsurfing and for wakefoiling. It probably would work well as winging foil for lighter riders too.

Are you in weight/proficiency range to ride 1000/940?
