Okay. I bought a wing, sling wing 5.4 V2… already had a foil setup.
I already see that my arms will be jelly during a session.
Then there is the wing harness line to hook into it with a simple harness.
So I am partial to the pks line

What do you use?

Is it elastic at all?
I have been using these:

I tried using the elastic ones but found it hard to slide the line and get support from the harness line.
I hope this helps

Any line will do. When I use a harness, I use a simple 3/16" double braid rope with a vinyl hose cover. It is simple to copy the F-One harness line.
I would not recommend having an elastic line. Difficulty hooking in from the beginning and the elastic (bungie cord) that small will stretch out after a few sessions.
No need to reinvent the wheel...

I agree that it is easy and affordable to make your own. Getting the length right is important, but if you know how to tie a bowline, you'll be all set. Ive actually moved away from using my harness. On my gusty lake it's hard to lock in and manage the constant shifts. It was nice on the mile long tacks I could do across the lake, but most of the time my tacks are much shorter and all of the kit and transition gets in the way.

I use the Ozone harness line and feel they work great. Easy to adjust to find that perfect length. I like that they have a bit of bungee in them, so when not using they are a little bit less out of the way. I was a little skeptical about having harness lines initially, but now really appreciate them for trucking upwind!!.

If your arms are jelly you're doing it wrong. It should be effortless in most conditions. It's only hard in too light wind or if you try to over control the wing.
Go out in more wind. Relax and let the wing to all the work. Bear off a little and don't try to ride so hard upwind. A foil is more than efficient enough to get you upwind enough to hold your position and have some fun with waves.
If you're having trouble riding without a harness then I suspect you'll have more problems riding hooked in to a harness. Even dedicated harness riders spend most of their time not hooked in.

I only hook in on long upwinds, use just a piece of rope.
Might try the Ozone or some DIY copy because i slap the line into my eyes when pumping hard
But as OzBungy said...learn to ride relaxed before using a harness.
I can ride for 3hours wuthout hooking in at all and it is not a matter of strength.
