Why do you only use a 3 m2 "once in a while" - are we talking about super low wind spots?

Or do you prefer to ride TT or Waveboards in this wind?

A 3 m2 can be used from 20 knots, which is not that much wind...

Its reassuring to hear that. Im trying to figure out whether I can get away with a 3.5 from 20-22 kts low end, which would work for a 5/3.5 quiver. I use a 4m down to ~17kts which makes me think a 3.5 at 22kts would probably be fine.

Of course it depends on foil and board as well....

Follow up...I got my 4m 6m combo. The 4m aluula maxed out in high 30s or early 40s. In the squalls I could only race downwind. So a 3m isn't order for the high wind days.

As for 3m at 20kt...not really my cup of tea, as I don't like feeling barely powered. I also didn't like using a 5m kite in 15kt kite foiling, while others made it work. So each their own eh

Im selling 6.2m and 4m Mantis wings. They are excellent all around wings and have mini booms. The listing is in the classifieds section on this forum if you are interested.

Very few other mini boom options out there. Duotone, Eleveight, Vayu.
It Looks Like Ullman will bring their boom wing out soon via Gong Plat form. I have seen them down here in Cape Town and the new bar wing is all over there instagram account. I also belle RRD is working on a Bar solution.
