Bottom line is, get good at bladder repairs ... or get used to selling at a discount. :x :-?

Half the year we kite in rain, so i am used to drying kites. Though I have become increasingly paranoid about hanging these wings, in case of bladder twisting. My latest system: leave the center strut inflated, loosely roll, leave it standing on tip in a plastic tote...the water will drip down and it seems to dry out fairly quickly, with the water contained.

I can not see how it could lead to less failures...

Drying the wings like that wont help anything, if it is salt water crystals.

On the contrary - if they are always totally wet, it would not be an issue

And rain doesnt harm (except for mildew), no salt.

I believe Gong published a report saying bladder issues with wings are coming from wings being put away wet. With bladders being huge compared to kites, they get stressed/stretched easily when out of place, in the casing. Then compound the issue with non kiters, not taking good care of the wings. I see non kiters wad wings up and stuff them in the bag like dirty laundry.

Kiters know to take proper care folding or rolling our wings methodically to ensure no bladder issues. Most people have no clue about this.
