North Nova Light Wind Wing

When the world says wait. Run.
When others stall. Fly.
Let go of effort. Be.

Waiting for wind? The latest addition to the North Wing Collection has the power to unlock borderline sessions, lift you up instantly in the lightest wind and keep you on the foil for longer.

Brand Director Mike Raper believes the Nova Light Wind is the most efficient wing ever designed: “This wing is incredible in the bottom end; you don’t even need to pump. It gets you up on the plane and keeps you there – even through the zero knot lulls.”

Wing Designer Dano See says: “We’ve stripped all the scuff guards, used the lightest bladders and engineered this wing to feel as light as possible. While there will always be size and weight limitations on such a big wing, how it weighs on the beach is not a representation of how it flies on the water. The Nova Light Wing handles like a much smaller wing.”

Its deep profile and ultra-stiff frame provide the most efficient power delivery per m2, carrying you through the lulls and converting the slightest puff into powerful forward momentum.

The Nova Light Wind has balanced load distribution and lift for easier gybes, tacks and low-speed transitions. Rigid GripLock micro-trim handles deliver a more immediate response.

Its refined compact outline and rounded wingtips help reduce tip-strike, and the manageable span width is tailored to fit every rider. Go by rider-weight to choose just one Nova Light Wind size for your quiver and end the wait for wind.

Recommended Wind Range and Rider Size:

* Choose wing according to your rider size. Recommended wing size also dependent on rider height, ability and foil setup.

for a while (and maybe still) I've thought a 6m is the biggest i'd go with a wing. if it's lighter than that can handle. go kite foiling. but i've found there are times when i've got my wing setup ready, yet there just isn't enough wind to get me going, and I've either already kite foiled, or just don't want the hassle of setting up the other gear. so if an 8m wing could get me going (i'm about 90 kgs), maybe that's a good solution. i like the stiff handles here, and would certainly like to try this wing out. looking forward to real user reviews.
