Why shorter Mast for wing foil than for Kitefoil?

I had to buy a 100cm mast for winging because the 85cm were out of stock and no expected delivery.. usual Gong thing..
The positive thing is that I now kite and wing on 100 cm mast, same height feeling and less ventilation (but you get used very quick on the difference)
Down side was swimming out last Sunday.. had to swim much further on my big lake spot..
So 90, 85 , 100.. all ok, you are used to 100cm, go wing with it, no problem
