Did anyone tried to fly a kite on a wingboard with very short lines? maybe 5 meter lines? this may still be enough to get going, but would make relaunch of a single skin kite a breeze as you can just lay it out in the water and re-launch? could possibly even paddle out on a wing board and launch a kite in the water?
Yeah, there is a video from Armin:

I did some experiments with very short lines (0m - 2m - 5m) on land and I really didn't like it. You loose the advantages of wing but get none/few of the advantages of kites this way. Can't loop, can't generate power from Kite movement. You can't even pump like you can with wing. Worst of both worlds. I say, either Kite with at least ~10m lines or Wing.

I used a Pansh Aurora 7m for my experiments, I think it could be better with a very low AR Kite?

Tried it over 3 years ago now, before I started Winging again.

Was cool and worked well, but when I started Winging there was no more point to it
