Radsail Pro-power rings

Postby Rayco » Sun Oct 10, 2004 3:12 am

I havn't heard anyone talk about it yet, and I just got a second opinion confirming what I thought.....Power rings increase lift, pull, and stability of the 5m radsail pro. The kite feels more managable in gusts, and we were pulling off some nice floaty jumps. Whomever posted the original power ring-thread--thanks!

Power Rings

Postby Vince H. » Tue Oct 12, 2004 8:16 pm

Could someone please direct me to the original power ring post. Doing a search results in every post that has the word "power" in.

Or even an approximate date so I don't have to read through hundreds of messages.
Thx

Quadrafoils have (power rings), all what they are rings with about a 15cm lines with loops for attachment where the control lines attach to the bridle, the each brake go through a ring, It does increase the proformance.
Quadrafoils old site had info on their rings, but if you do a search all you get are Q-powerlines.

Here is the link I used:

They are simple to make, I used small key chain rings instead of the washers he used. Play around with the spacing, you should be able to notice considerably different flying/lift aspects. Let us know what your flying and how it works!

My Firebee 3.0 power rings had to be a different size to a Firebee 4.0 and so on...

The length of the cord was quite different for each kite, so if you havnt got any sizes to go on, start large - 20cm and bring it down say 5cm each time after a test.
