Ben you could add to your map Lewis point on the southeast end of Oneida lake, approved access to the lake , plowed parking area ,easy trail to the lake , maybe 5 miles from Sylvan beach.

Hey Bigben good to see ya got the map back up. guess we are all "approved" now ,and it only took a month.
Whats the deal with the old porterdale lot? Corn now or just off limits? Anyone if thats where they drove the van into the field?
Note on sylvan beach. If its blowing w to nw at 12-15 on the west side of the lake, it will be nuking at sylvan beach. Wind seems to funnel down the lake.

For the old porterdale lot, which I assume your talking about the farm at 155/fasset rd, they haven't been able to secure permission from the landowner yet, they're still working on it though. It may be available by this weekend, but until then we took it off the map.

Lewis point road to where it starts its loop to the right toward Bestinger road is an open field for parking , there is a large cedar tree just a couple of car lenghts from the corner and on google map you can see what looks like 2 lanes that divide up the field. A good part of it is plowed clear and there is plenty of room for roadside parking.

I added Lewis point, but double check the map to make sure it's the right spot. Is that public parking?

This has strayed off topic a bit....resume talking about tug hill!

Wind forcasts this far out are usually worthless.
