I don't know what the current ice situation is but two weeks ago the south side of the causeway at Sandbar was frozen.

The ice at Sandbar south side is good and thick, but unfortunately, the snow all melted and it is just ice. Going out on the water today to start the year off right, then an ice session...

Hey C,
I got out at Sandbar this afternoon and it was soft ice. I played on the snowboard with a Switchblade. It is not a huge area, but plenty of space to play. Speed runs yesterday, with my best snowboard speed of about 47 mph. The wind was about 15 to 20.
Wind was light today.
Hoping for some breeze tomorrow, as I have a new blade on the snowboard to try.
G

Hey G,
Is any of this snow sticking? Or is it 3 meter and skates conditions?

Its never skates for me. Ice is for sharp skis and snowboards with the Switchblade. There are some light patches of snow, today. Hopefully, more on the way. Not super promising, but here's to hoping the storm track is a little more inland.
