I'll answer. Matt's second track is our Friday Deer Park session. Out of Silverton. Groomed trail from Kendall Ski Hill almost to launch. North wind is/was gusty. Same wind directions work as McMillan. A dozen other equally great spots exist near here.

That was a great day out Glickster! I am starting to get a little more control on the sled and hope to be able to tow some folks out soon. Here's yesterday's track from LH. Perfect untracked pow and steady 15m north winds all to myself. A couple slednecks showed up later and started lapping around the meadow. A Call To Duty!! We need to get out there and keep that LH meadow bumped out so that the sleds head out elsewhere. No excuses!

Hey, what about the Snow Mesa boys? How was it?

Looks great down in the San Juans! Snow Mesa was good. The snow was a little wind blown with pockets of soft snow and good wind for the most part. Managed to track 37 miles parking lot to parking lot on Strava. Justin or Doug might have some more pictures to add to these. Keep that sled right side up

Thanks Glickster.
That looks like a great spot!
Yeah Matt, keep those sleders out of LH! :D I had my kite in the car with me yesterday to go Lizard, then changed my mind at the last minute and went speedriding Bear creek.

Need Beta help:
Going to the huts below aspen in 2 and a half weeks for a boys BC ski trip. has anyone snow kited up by pearl pass? Base of operations will be tagert hut. I want to bring my 15m closed cell foil for some gliding and towing fun as I imagine we wont be able to bag any really good descends in feb.
Cheers,

Cheers,
Rome Utah, I've only been up that way in the summer but it could be wild! It seems way out there. If you see a day with a very North forecast (try NOAA point forecast or CAIC zone forecast), I'll bet you could score some kiting just about the hut at treeline. For anything south or southwest I think you'd have to get up over Pearl Pass proper to get clean wind. Let us know how it goes.
