Yo Anthony! As of last week, LH is good to go. It's mostly a grassy meadow with few rocks. It really doesn't take much to fill in. There are a few ditches and swells to jump over but that just adds to the fun. Forecast is calling for 6"- 8" the next few days. Anything helps at this point! Also, Crystal Reservoir (Ironton) is frozen and rideable as well. Not a big venue, but fun nonetheless. Big Mac and US Basin still have a ways to go...

I ran up to Grand Mesa last week to check the conditions. Still a bit rocky and thin up there. With any luck from the approaching storm(s), things will fill in there as well. Being your local spot, how deep of a snowpack are you looking for up there?

Went down to Snow Mesa this past Sunday. Managed to get the sled up to the top, the last 100 yards was a little scratchy. The snow is filling in pretty good but the wind didn't cooperate, got a little kiting in.
Today went up to Taylor Reservoir. The ice is about 6-8 inches thick with 4-6 inches of soft snow on it. The surrounding hills are starting to fill in, still sage brush sticking up. The wind was pretty good and looks promising for tomorrow as well.

You guys are killing me. That soft white stuff looks nice. None of that down here in Baja Sur. Just day after day of 9m side onshore winds with lumpy wind swell on deserted beaches. I do have to wear a wetsuit, and I can get just a little chilly while toweling off before heading in to find some fish tacos.

What side of Baja are you Matt?

El norte was awesome at Lizard yesterday, nice and constant wind, sunny and a good 5/6” of fresh!
East facing slope still need another foot to be fun.

Some interesting things happening on the Mesa this year. The forest service has granted a winter logging contract so the road to lands end is plowed clear meaning parking off 65 is no longer a problem all they ask is that you avoid the gate area for the trucks on weekdays unfortunately it also makes it a lot harder to cross from one side of the road to the other 7-ft Banks. Put down about 5 miles in super light wind 21m Soul Jolly Green Giant session saver. Nothing like untouched snow and the wind whistling through your lines. Todd was on his 15m Turbine and was a little under powered and struggled to stay upwind but managed to still put down about 2 miles of tracks. CAUTION! Rocks are still hiding in snow I got one so hard it gouged a core hit :angryfire: Time to order new ptex candle.😭
