Had the 12m Nitro3 out all day yesterday in winds ranging from 10 knots to 20 - it was great...similar to what you get on the water. A fast turning kite with great upwind ability in the wind window. And boosting was fantastic! It was one of my favorite snowkite sessions ever.

Relaunch was not a problem either - hot launch or reverse hot launch was easy provided there was wind.

Cheers NHK much appreciated, totally sold on the nitro.

2 final questions:
1) 12m would be my general go to kite here in Ireland. That or my 9m delta. I'm replacing my 12m. I weigh around 85kg fully loaded. Is 12m nitro the right size for Toronto summers on the lakes? I prefer to go out in stronger winds that work for the 12 or 9 but don't want to short change myself if the summers are consistently lighter winds that require a bigger kite. If it's really light I'm not that bothered kiting. So I'm not looking for a 16m but wondering if 12 is the good all round choice teamed with my 9m renegade?

2) did anyone from Ontario buy from switch, were there additional import costs? I have the option to buy in Ireland before I move. But obviously would prefer to send to Canada direct save lugging one kite across the pond, unless it saves me money!

Cheers guys,
Rosco

The 12m Nitro has a lot of low end grunt and a very good top end as well. I should also note that it will get you going fast too...the WISSA champ for 2015 rode Nitro's last week.

I've order many Switch Kites to Ontario. The duties and tax levies have been hit and miss....a couple of times I've paid nothing more. Most times you get hit with the 13% sales tax plus duty, which totals to about 20%. Suggest you include with your order a declaration of the total cost that is less than what you actually paid, but reasonable enough not to raise suspicion of the Customs Officers.

Sounds great guys. Thanks for all the solid info. Decided I'll ship direct to Canada. Hopefully have a new kite in the next month or two. I'll miss the snow this season but something fun to look forward to next year.
