I'm curious about how the liability factors in over there vs. here.

For example, to hold an event and have it actually covered is fairly pricey. And when you introduce competition to the equation, it gets really pricey.

Thus the whole "non-event" events.

Merica! Land of the lawsuit!

RULES: GPS - FORMULA

FORMAT GPS:
The format of the competition is simple: no fixed route. Each rider equipped with gps, will make more km, more variations in altitude and more perimeter.

SCORING SYSTEM:
– Distance x 1
– Changes in altitude from x 10
– Perimeter of the track x 3

GPS FORMULA & TRADITIONAL RACE:
In flat spots (5 miglia and Vallefredda), when we can't go on the spot at 2200 meters (Aremogna), we will perform a race with buoys creating a path not less than 7 km linear

MAXIMUM SPEED:
We will not include the maximum speed as parameter

PENALTY:
the limits of the spots will be uploaded. The riders should not exceede this limits

SYSTEM ANALYSIS OF GPS DATA:
Kitetracker.com will calculate your parameter settings when the data will be uploaded. If you have a traditional GPS you can also upload your track on Kitetracker.com.
We invite you to download the app kitetracker available for i-phone and android and start training.

SERVICES FOR ALL RIDERS:
– Skipass for 1 week for free
– 50 euro subscription cost

SECURITY:
The competition does not have gps predetermined routes and each rider decides according to their possibilities the way to go. For this reason, the organization can’t limit the spot in amplitude but will indicate some major dangers but can not predict signs all over the spot. Each rider must be aware of the risks involved. Is advisable to study the spot before the race and eventually arriving in previous periods to test the field.

EQUIPMENT:
Please make sure to have:
- The medical certificate for races of the country of origin
- Insurance
- GPS
- Phones
- Shovel
- Probe
- A.R.V.A / A.R.V.T.A

Wish I could Moon. But snow kiting is how I eek out a meager living in the winter it's hard to afford or justify trips like this. I'd have to give up lesson time with clients as well as absorb the cost of getting there. Someday I'd like to check these far away places out but for the time being I have to limit my travel to North America and to short trips at that. Someday but not for a while.

For now I'm going to just focus on doing what I do and get some good speed sessions in when I can. Thinking about doing some course racing this winter and also making the trip to the Mille Lacs Crossing again this spring.

So many places, so little time.
