Worlds longest kite hang time
Raw video from my longest jump on inflatable, non modified, production kite using the updraft on the cliff. I am flying 17m Crazyfly Cruze with about 20 knots wind and waist Dakine Pyro harness.
If you know about longer flight, please post link in comments and I will change the title of this video.
No need to say that this is dangerous, kites are not made for this type of flying so don't try this!

I don't think the title of hang time is appropriate. In my mind hang time is the amount of time spent in the air jumping on the water or flat land.
This is ridge lift or ridge gliding or something.... its completely different. Also if there's no take off and landing on some form of board I don't see it as any form of kitesport record.
Its simply a dude using inappropriate and dangerous equipnment to go paragliding.

Silly question but how exactly do you come down? Slowly let out the bar?

Two generic options. Fly away from ridge lift zone usually to upwind or like you said decrease AoA. Or both. Usually the worst place is to drift to turbulent rotor downwind from the ridge.

Agreed, this is definitely not "hang time"; this is flying/soaring.
