Thankfully the world can only handle one "crisis" at the time.

The other day we had politicians coming out in Norway saying we should not forget Covid-19 just because there is an election in the US :D

And obviously "climate change" is completely forgotten. People are now encouraged by politicians to buy and drive cars. It's all quite amazing. And still some actually believe that these structures are the right ones.... for every day that passes I think Eric Weinstein is more and more correct. The Portal is an amazing podcast by the way. And his recent visit to Lex Friedman's podcast is very good - for anyone wanting to get to know him a bit (only scratches the surface in that one, but got to start somewhere).

joe is gonna rejoin the paris agreement , and pledges big amounts of money for climate infacstruture and many jobs in green energy -its not a good idea- it is essential for a future , and don't kid yourself that it can be done later , yery unstable jet streams causing caotic weather patterns around the world are here to stay and will only amplify if we continue to emit carbon gas as we are presently

LOL.
October 2020 was the 4th warmest October, tied with 2017, since adequate global data began in 1880. Global temperature was +0.90⁰C relative to 1951-1980 and +1.13⁰C relative to 1880-1920. The January-October 2020 mean of +1.03°C relative to 1951-1980 is nearly even with 2016 (+1.04°C). For practical purpose 2020 and 2016 are tied for warmest year. 2020 could pass 2016 in the next two months, because 2016 was stuck in La Nina mud. 2020 is in a deeper La Nina, but 2020 is buoyed by 4-year growth of greenhouse gases (and possibly by less aerosol cooling, if only we knew the aerosol forcing).

Wait, what?

Why would the church of AGW admit to an unknown? Surety of faith IS required, and questioning SHALL be considered blasphemy.

And Simon. Unless you are the author of that link you provided, put that copied text in your post in quotes to make it look a bit less plagiarized.

Oh yeah, join the non-binding Paris Climate Accord - Yipee! The result will be US citizens paying more in taxes to fund more social programs with the net effect of doing ZERO to help the environment while the third world continues to pollute non-stop.

WRONG!!!

The result is the accelerated decline of the West, while China and the good hearted leaders of the benevolent dictatorships of the 3rd world will rise up to sacrifice their mansions and private planes/limousines for the good of all those they represent. Eventually those dictators will join together to wipe out the evil of western democracy in favor of righteous democratic socialism - and this time, they will get it right without all the millions of dead in the name of progress! These dictatorships only want what is best, as they see it, for the future of humanity.

The problem humanity is "looking down the barrel of", is not the reality of the above, but rather that nearly half of western society has bought into the religious belief that the above is good.

It would be funny if what you are saying did not have an element of truth.

You just have to wonder how many tenants of the AWG Church would be sacrificed on the alter of the Glorious New Regime. Gotta think that Climate Change would be one of the first ones to go as well as all of the media outlets that love Democratic Socialism, for you only need one media outlet to deliver the noble message.

Not that this thread needs any more wild tangents but has 'The Great Reset' from the World Economic Forum been talked about at all? It was in Jan of this year I believe but i've only just recently heard of it, it's using Covid as an oppurtunity to 'reset' the world economy with the environment and equality as priorities. Forgive me for sounding conspiratal but is this not the exact sort of thing Foilholio was mocked to pieces for ranting on about? It sounds okay on the surface but of the few video break downs i've seen(i'm aware the YT algorithm will be biased to sending me what i want to see) it seems like it's based on Marxist principles as i understand it. I'm just wondering is it really that ridiculous to suggest a group of elites are capitilising on world wide event and manipulating the response in order to use the mask of 'environment' and 'social equality' to change the world economy and society to suit their agendas? It's basically what it says on their website... :o

If it has been mentioned and i'm just late to the party then i'll get my coat...
