Really? Scientific discussions are probably best not engaged on KF.

Statement 1

No, accurate temperature records begin in the 1880's.

Statement 2

Warming is unprecedented in more than 2000 years.
Following Statement 1 with Statement 2........ well the math doesn't work out.

No, accurate temperature records begin in the 1880's.
And I can verify Statement 1 to some degree. However, those records from the 1900's are not as extensive as records from the last 50 years. So there is some serious extrapolation prior to that.

But the most important date is the date that the falsification of these records begins. Some put that in the late 2000's. Others note some retroactive falsification of the temperature records. Even inaccurate measurements caused by initially rural stations becoming urban environments, do not get scientific scrutiny absolutely warranted under standard scientific principles.

Statement 3

This is the warmest multi-century period in more than 100,000 years.
So. What about the last 200,000 years? Or the last 500,000 years?

What is the significance of a specific time period?

Yes.

If it is a gust made you fall down, then it was global warming.

If a gust let you beat your record jump height, then that was how we are saving the planet with solar, or other green inititaves.

It's psychology 101!

Slide, I can appreciate your concern but your one sentence snippets about global catastrophes sound a bit like

Who cares about kids? Nothing destroys the climate as kids.
