Noah, that looks great! It's high alpine ice skating season down south here. My friends have been out on their ice sailboats.

I disagree. Where is your evidence? You claim that there is "safe ice" but you have no collaborating photos to back it up.
Don't leave us hanging. Best would be a trainer kite with ice skates but an ice boat behind you. Again, your evidence is shaky at best and lacking a solid foundation.

and the 15m Chrono V3 UL. Both kites have the range and power to handle the autumn winds and autumn powder.
So how about some more info about the V3 Chrono? How does it compare to the V2? Still much more stability than the R2?

We spent a couple of days in the Big Horns again this past week. The base continues to improve, lots of pow and very scenic. Soon, Hwy 14A will be snowmobile access only. It was nice to get a few more days of park-n-ride kiting under our harness.

Noah,
Always appreciate your reports! How about starting a running thread for southwest montana region conditions? Doesnt seem like too much breeze in the forecast but snowpack is shaping up.

Noah,
Skyline doesn't have enough snow to kite. I am thinking a road trip is in order. Do you mind posting a location, so I can determine how long it will take to drive there?
Thank you for the photos!

Great pictures Noah! Most of beautiful snow kiting shots we see are in Europe it's nice to know we have nice places like that on this side of the pond too. For us here it's mostly just frozen lakes and that won't be for another month! I usually go down to the Caribbean during the in between season but that's working out so good this year...
