What a complete amateur! This sort of thing happens to me all the time. Just let the bar go, drop the kite to the ground, detached the lines, bar drops to the ground, job done, easy.

The power lines look like they are train switching communication lines, and not high voltage lines.
Still, I think you could claim that that bridge just jumped out in front of you. Maybe there is even a broken beer bottle near the tracks where you could claim the bridge may have been drinking.
