I want to extend an open invitation to come visit the San Juans for some snowkiting. We have a semi-attached studio at our house here in Ridgway. Queen bed, couch, coffee machine, beer fridge, wood stove, room to dry out gear. We used to airbnb but the Town has cracked down, so now we just have friends and family stay in the studio. Realistically, we probably have good kite conditions 50% of the time Dec-May as long as you're competent to travel into the backcountry. Also some good roadside spots if you're patient. Plenty of non-wind activities including ice climbing and hot springs. I'm not a guide or pushing some guide service, just an avid kiter.
It doesn't really cost us anything to have folks stay, so come on out. No strings attached, I'm just shooting for good kite karma. PM me here. Gravity skiers need not apply.
