north rebel first flight in southoz

Postby dazza5172 » Mon Sep 04, 2006 5:06 am

Well with much anticipation we finally got the first rebel in southoz. 3 of us have our orders in and one mate got his before the weekend. We have had a brief testing session in marginal and medium winds.

4 out or 4 riders are totally thumbs up on this kite. Finally now i know that it is not hype, the kite delivers as promised. Light bar pressure, total depower, quick turning, ease of use, one handed tricks with super smooth bar action.

just waiting now for mine and more riding. I was so stoked after riding it.

Especially seeing I hyped to boys up about it based on my research, would have been in trouble otherwise. Just goes to show that you can trust your instinct

If anyone interested we have now tested the 12m again and the 7m in some serious wind. I have updated the review.

The 7m Rebel is the best kite I have flown, in 25 - 30 knots it was as sweet as, I even held down the 12m in these conditions showing the unreal depower with this kite

Can I fly the new Rebel with my 2006 5th line North bar (seems pretty similar)? Can anyone describe the Rebel against Ozone Instinct which I currently have? I have 11m Ozone and thought about taking either Rebel 08 sizes 12&9 or SS REV two kite quiver. I have earlier experience with Cabrinha C-kites and I am happy with hybrids. I have not tried the Rebel nor the new REV. Advise and hints would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Toomas
