If you want a review of the 09 Fuel, read the one from www.iksurfmag.com in, I think, the latest issue or the previous issue.

I have flown them and their review nailed it exactly.

if you want the simplicity of a four line kite go with the fuel since the torch only has a five line version for the kite
so for you,you choose:
four line simpicity= fuel
fifth line safty=torch

I ride the 10m 09 Torch but rode the 11m 09 Fuel for quite a long time...

The Fuel is alot less responsive to turning (Not because its bigger, there is a significant difference), but flies alot smoother unhooked and jumps unhooked better. Its more powerfull through unhooked kiteloops and pulls a little more through the turns.

I ride the torch however because it is much easier to relaunch (unless you are a pro at reverse relaunching the fuel, which only works in good wind - but the torch can reverse relaunch aswell). It is more powerfull in hooked in loops, and very similiar power in unhooked kiteloops to the fuel, although a little less. It has a huge ammount more depower than the fuel, better safety, similiar jumping ability, more windrange, similiar pull throughout unhooked tricks.

Dont get me wrong, for freestyle kiting, if i wasnt riding the torch then the fuel would definitly be my first choice kite. But the torch is just better for real world conditions, and kicks ass at freestyle (proven over like 4 years or something), Waves, free-riding, and just having fun.

This is just my opinion however, difinitely ride both kites before you decide!
Cheers, Sam

Tried both kites and the Torch is way the better kite. It is just a perfect freestyle kite with big air and very nice hang time it never let me down. It is also a much better alrounder but of course both kites need more kite skills to ride.

wrote here an review for the naish torch.

Dont let the 4 lines of the Fuel hold you back if your worried about relaunching. I have the 09 11m, the kite relaunches in every condition, even super low winds. Reverse launching is a snap.

Its also a sick kite! It is a tad slower than other kites and needs more input form the rider to turn but that gives it its grunty and solid feel. I guess that's what you want in a C kite, not some mushy bow bar.
