You should seriously consider the F-One Trax 2011.
I have one. It has some rocker and then it flexes a lot. Actually it is so soft that the freestyle champs around here say I should get another board because it is no where near stiff enough for uh freestyle.
They might be right and I do consider changing it for that reasons. But it is actually a pretty excellent freeride board and it must be very gentle on the knees !!

whatever board you choose - try experimenting with the stance settings. I went to a narrower stance and definitely less stress on your knees

Just received this comment from a recent Xenon Laluz convert:
By the way, the Xenon board you sold me is great! Soft landings just as described, my sessions have doubled in length because my legs aren't taking such a beating.

I'm using the Cabrinha Caliber 136 this year after a couple of years on the Mako 140. I am truly surprised by the performance and comfort of the Caliber this year. It is as easy to ride and comfortable in the chop as my Mako was, but the landings from jumps are much, much softer. The pop on the Caliber is impressive too, I've been riding it in crazy Lake Ontario chop and it's great, last week I had it in the Planet of the Apes slick in the Outer Banks and it was great there too.

Another vote for the blunt, I have completely trashed knees, and the landings are butter smooth. Plus, it's light so that it doesn't torque you around. Don't wear heel straps, and be sure and bail both feet if one comes out. Nothing like a nice lever arm to twist your leg around, with only one foot in the straps. Good luck!!

A smaller board will help the knees but you need to ride with plenty of kite power.
The Mako 140 is gentle on the knees. :thumb
This is from one kiter waiting for a torn meniscus fix :(

yo dudes! how many replies here... I was out on an epic session today with my 7mt on a surfboard. I love surfing and I usually go strapless but today I've tried strapped and I have to say it was real tough on my knees. With overhead waves and chop of all kind (UK South coast style) it was a real killer for my injured knee, probably even worse than a twin tip.

Can't wait to try the Blunt.. And yes I always kick my board off if I get stuck with one foot in it.. I also keep my straps quite loose for that purpose

Yo Rosen, how are ya? It's been a while since we last posted here... You reckon to give the Trax a go? I thought it was a stiff-ish board, maybe not enough for the freestyle junkies, who are probably after steel!!!

The Mako as I said it's great I'm just not sure about the construction as a demo failed under my feet :-?
