Switch bar v2 flag out: https://youtu.be/iWGK6E--NNM

It will work no problem, in the video the lane was facing to the side of the swivel witch will not happen when flying the kite so it will be even easier to pull threw the swivel..

i realized the back pack has a special spot for the bar on the side. (found it after the review0

I watched the video and got me thinking. I viewed the website and the price are very good. All I need is to demo the kite.

Ok my fellow kiteforum.com members, I want you to watch the above video and pay close attention.

Go to 7:05 and we see that the gent in the video finds out that infact the 2015 Switch Controller 2 DOES NOT FLAG TO A SINGLE LINE.

Switch, are you really going to let this gentleman use this bar????

Sorry OP, this is not any sort of attack on you :)
Looks like it's flagging on one line just fine. Maybe we'll get a second video from the guy flying his Element and he can demonstrate the safety to satisfy you.

comments:
three things come in the bag with the bar: the thicker line is for tuning your kite lines - attach to lines and to tree. The other line is so you can set the bar up for flagging to two lines, and the other little knotted piece of line is needed to complete the setup.

the bag has a special internal pocket for the bar - he didn't even notice...the bar does not belong in the velcro straps above, although it could, but why not use the internal pocket specially for that?

the kite bag is expandable to hold two kites or kite + clothes, whatever, that's a cool feature I've seen nowhere else

the thick straps around the bag are so you can strap a board to the bag, other brands have that too, surprised he didn't pick up on that

the hose adapter in the bag is needed as you may borrow a pump that doesn't have the correct adapter - saved me more than once

How does it not flag to one line when at 7:12 you can see it go through the center of the swivel?

I actually posted and deleted basically asking the same thing after I have seen corbets other posts on the subject. Pretty sure he is having snagging issues... I don't think he disputes that it should flag to one line or it is designed to, I think his flag line is snagging either on the swivel body or the guide at the cleat or hole in the stopper. He says he had to splice in a new piece of line in order for it to work.
I build/mod bars and noticed basically the same thing, the tolerance through the swivel is very tight
and I did not use the guide at the cleat because that is just another snag point... I do have to be careful not to get my flag line caught in the cleat while adjusting trim though.
I'm a big supporter of the switch model and love the fact that every part is available to purchase, but I still think they have a bit of work to do to perfect their bar.
My suggestion to them is to
1. increase the hole size through the swivel so they do not have to step down their bungee line to a thinner line
2. decrease the weight of the bar
3. shorten the chicken-loop over all length by reducing the distance between the body and the part that rests against the bar at full power.
4. simplify the stopper ball system, there is no need for this to be two parts.

If they did this I wouldn't have to build my own bars any longer....
