Looking for advice on sunglasses to wear while out riding. I own a couple pairs of Seaspecs but find after a few minutes of wearing them, or when the odd bit of water splashes on them, my vision is impaired. I find it hard to see the chop and spot landings. I end up just pulling them down and let them dangle around my neck. But, later that night and the next day, my eyes are sore from being out in the sun, the wind and water splashing in the eyes. My eyes are a bit more sensitive to light than others I think.

Any advice on good glasses that stay clear the whole day? Or any advice on a good cleaner like maybe Rain X?

Oakleys with their hydrophobic coating works for me.

Nikwax visor proof works well for me

I just use normal sunglasses and clean the lenses with anti fog spray for diving masks before I get on the water.

I always ride with sunglasses.

Best product I have found so far is Muc Off Premium anti fog treatment.

i have seaspecs, I have only issue when it's foggy like that time of year if temp are like mid 40 to 50 it seems to fog quite a lot. There is literally steam rising up from my wetsuit.

About water droplet, if you wipeout enough it's not an issue, you can also dunk your head in water from time to time to clean them. also sometimes if your board spray just right it cleans them perfectly.

your eyes/brain just get used to small droplet and such and don't notice it after a while but sometimes it's really bad with sun glare and such depends where sun is and wind direction...
anyway I have pretty good luck with mine but I agree there are a few session where I pull them down too.

I wear prescription sunglasses and sometimes apply Rain-X to the lenses. Why does it seem like most of those late day sessions are always done squinting into the setting sun?
Rain-X is somewhat effective against spotting/droplets for about half a day. With an alcohol base to evaporate upon application, it also works as a decent lens cleaner.

A good strap is also necessary to keep from losing them. I like glasses with earpieces having a hole in the end, which makes a strap attachment more secure than any slide-on type of strap. There's also another interesting phenomenon unique to sunglasses which you need to be aware of: The more expensive they are, the more likely they are to be torn from your head and lost to the sea...

I am liking Costa's Silver Sunrise lenses. More of a yellow grey lens and nice protection for UV and blue light but good vision for seeing waves. My frame is pretty tight to my face so there is a tendency to fog when its cold. I usually use saliva on the lens to prevent fogging but have also used Rain-X

and ad a anti fog spay. Everything is fine!

I love my Julbo Wave sunglasses. Photochromatic (it gets darker when it's sunnier) and never gets fogged up.
Stay on even on crashes (which I'm expert with).
