Hello every one:
I would like to buy a new Naish board, but I´m not sure which board suits better for me.
I´m an intermediate kiter, starting to unhook, I kite in very changeable conditions, choppy waters with lots of wind, sometimes very low wind, because I kite in a river with a lot of current. I also kite in the sea, once or twice a year.
I weight 92 kg.
My doubts are if it is better for my go to the Naish Monarch 142, or the Stomp 138. I don´t have the posibility to buy another boards in my country, for now.
What do you think about it?
Thank you
SW

Are you planning on using it with boots or straps?

Thank you very much for all the advices! I will use straps. I think i'll stay with the Monarch 142. I know that the proper.board is the 138 but it is out of stock!

I would be wary of the 142 Monarch in straps, the 2017 felt too big for me using straps at 100kg. Is the Stomp really that bad upwind?

Not at all.
I find some statements exaggerated. Monarch is better in some areas while Stomp in others, just a different boards for a different types of riding.
I'd recommend Stomp for boots, Monarch for straps. According to me, 142 would be quite ok for the OPs weight. Stomp at 138 would be small even with straps...

Gonzolinho,
Just out of interest, what are the differences between the 17 and 18 Monarchs? I liked in the shop and they appeared superficially the same

Finally I went for the Monarch 142. I tested it last sunday in winds between 20 to 40 knots. It was very gusty and I really enjoy the board. It surpassed my expectations!
The board do exactely what I want, I was always in control even when the winds picks up suddenly! It´s a very lively board, fun, but always do what you want to do!
Speed, and jumps are great! I´ve never felt the board was a big board.
Thank you very much for all your advices!
