Hi Alpaia,
For very light wind I should use the Gong Strutless, I have the 12 and I’ts a magic kite, no backstall nothing just sits there in the sky waiting for your input, incredible stable and fast.I’m considering to buy an 8 strutless.

Yes, but
Unik 12.9m : 745 e
Aluula Flite 12m : 2429 $

So you are paying nearly 3x the price to save 28% weight based on your 10m kite data.

It is good to have brands making affordable "good enough" products for 95% kiters,
and other brands pushing the boundaries of technical innovation and price tags

For those who are looking for a good perf / price tradeoff for light kite, other options :

Takoon ONE LIGHT : less than 3kg in 12m. 819 e. independant test in kiteboarder mag.
https://takoon.com/products/one-light-v ... 8483714083

Kauper XT discussed somewhere else in this forum : 12m less than 2.8kg, 770 e

Both above are quality build with Teijin canopy similar to gong.

Your data raises an interesting question though :
why choose a single strut kite if you can have a 3 strut around the same weight & price ?

👍🏻👍🏻I’m receiving my Kauper xt Maverick incl. Carbon bar next week. Of course I give my reviews and shots about this innovated kite and bar by Rainer Kauper, inventor of the Spleene Door! (who did not grow up with it!😂)
See ya within 2 weeks ( if the wind is sufficient) with new posts!
(Way to less Video info about this Maverick on the forums)

Great it will be interesting to compare super light 3 skinny strut kite vs single strut for light wind, kauper is interesting with the streamlined bar having backline trim.
looking forward to your review for sure kauper is a bit of a confidential brand so far focussing on r&d and not image, still would be interesting to see some videos.
