Wac on the 16,5 warrior review

I had my wac system for the 16,5 warrior and I went out in 8-10knots,
75 kg I used the new okiled board 160 and the loose ax 150.

Well the kite with wac becomes a little bit faster but u must take some time to figure out the difference of input. It becomes a different kite after u put on the wac. In 5knot the first day I had it I could do 360 on the beach. In this session I managed to do front and back loops with no problem and I could go upwind with both boards. I will still try it with more wind. The depower seems to work but I still need to test it with more wind. By pumping the bar I could create some apparent wind and I didn't have to sine to much. Jumping became fun. If u have a warrior 16,5 I recommend u do the wac upgrade. U will get a better kite. I'm always the first on the water and now I’m jumping nicely too with it.

Today there will probably be some wind. The forecast isn't too good. As soon as I test it again I will post a new message. I will test the okiled board again and in waves and I will tell u the outcome. I will also try to get some pics to show u.

Good winds to you all.
By the way the weather is getting better here, sunny day today I’m heading to the beach!!!!

ok toby

I had another session today in bellow 10knots, I had lots of fun. I was the only one going upwind and at the same time there was a rhino 1 &2 18 with a north robo that where managing to maintain the line. I was having time to do front and back loops. U have to prepare the manoeuvre because it doesn't give u time to get back the kite after u do it. But there was only a little bit of wind. I had fun and the kite helped. One thing is the pressure system it tires u a bit. I was used to the pressureless one.
Overall is the kite can sinus faster, jump better, I haven't had wind to test the depower ability. It also tires your arms a little bit more.

more will come as soon as i get on the watter

A friend of mine also has a 16.5 WAC Warrior, till now, he only tested it on Ice. Approx. 5-7 knots, he was the only one who could perform jumps! With his weight at 100 kg, an amazing job!

Sorry for my bad english.

Taabsr - what did you think of the OKilled?

I would also like to hear about the okilled boards as well as more about the wac upgrade.

Did you get the carbon bar or stick with your stock warrior bar?

Have you gotten a chance yet to try it out in higher winds yet and how did that go?

What is involved with installing the upgrade?

Thanks,
Trent

trent.

wac upgrade.
you get a little set of instruction and a bag of lines.

you need to remove the main lines and v lines and the pulley attachment extensions.
you then need to seperate the bridles into abc and d lines.
you then replace the bridles for the a lines on the first four groups on either side, these are just the collection bridles, not the ones attached to the kite they stay on.
then yuo do the same for the b bridles.
you dont touch the c lines.
then you remove the centre lines d bridles, on one side of the vent, the vent is offset one cell.

then you group them all together and add in two sets of additional collection lines, then you add the wac lines, then you add thre new main lines and the new bar and depower set up.

if you know the kites inside out iw will take you two hours on your own or an hour with a friend, but you need to know your knots.

get the shop to do it if you can, and i would strongly advise getting the bar and a full new main let set as well.
