we see many discussions about style.
Do we have to do wakestyle because everyone is doing it?
Of course not, but I see that many guys have already choosen their style.

Now what is your style???

Good point Toby. There are a lot of cool styles out there, and many are not really one OR the other. Those are the ones that I like to watch the most. Me PERSONALLY, I like to go BIG. Watching a handlepass just seems hurried and awkward. HOWEVER, watching some of the wake style stuff is pretty cool. I'm going to start working on S bends as soon as I get my pulley bar. That's what's cool about this sport. There are so many ways to express yourself, and they're not limited to one style or another! :thumb:

I would put my self into a wakesytle category predominatly however i dont like to be pigeon holed, I like to try all forms. I think someone above said it first, let the days conditions define what your going to ride like.

were still in our infancy really........

I dont know what it is about S-bends I just love doing them. Sendit you'l love doing them with a pulley bar.......

I don't get it. The S bend trick is to be done unhooked anyway. Whats so special by doing it with a pulley bar than with a normal bar? :o

well in my opinion (take it with pinch of salt) when your pulling and S-bend with a pulley bar your at full power while unhooked......

again this is my opinion, I find pulling an S-bend on a regular bar takes a little bit of preperation. Pull the depower strap, hook & if your chickenloop has one of those donkey dick thingys to prevent it from comming out, you also have to unhook that to.

With a pulley bar, ours anyway (best thats is) I can pull one anytime while fully powered up on the fly so to speak......

but its different strokes for different folks :thumb:

I was a competitive wakeboarder for many years before coming to kiteboarding almost 2 years ago. My riding could be considered wakestyle because that is what comes natural to me, and we have no waves on the lake. However I find value in all styles and try all every opportunity I get. I like going out and have my buddies (all ex-windsurfers) teach me things about wind and kite efficency and control for maximizing big air, and I enjoy sharing about wakestyle moves. The wide range of diversity is part of what makes this sport great. I incourage all to step out of their "style" and embrace some of the other things out there. Who knows, you might find that you enjoy it!
